SMART 19

The organizing committee for SMART met on Thursday evening April 4th in Amherst to go over the final plans for SMART 19.
Doors will open for presenters, vendors and volunteers at 7am on Saturday morning April 27th. Even though the doors will be open we are asking the general public NOT to come in before 8am.
Entrance fee is 5 dollars which includes lunch and you will receive a Fusion ball cap and a name tag. The name tag must be worn throughout the day. When leaving the event please leave your name tag at the front door.
New this year the canteen will be open when you arrive and will have tea, coffee and other treats. They do not have debit/credit at this time so bring cash.
Tables set up for the raffle tickets and the 50/50 will be located in the main lobby.
Lunch will begin at 12 noon sharp. (Barbecue hamburgers, hotdogs, soft drinks & water) No charge.
The flea market will also begin at 12 noon and run throughout the lunch break. Door prizes will be drawn during the break. We will have use of the sound system in the arena this year so that everyone will hear the prize winners.
The afternoon break at 3:30pm will be for Grand Prize draws and weather permitting a group photo.
If anyone has a DMR, Fusion radio or Hot Spot and are having problems with code plugs or setting them up, Robert Mannette VE1RMJ will be available in the afternoon to help you. You must contact him in advance and let him know the details, what radio or hot spot you have and of your problem so he can be prepared before arriving. He will only have limited time so first come first served.
Robert’s email address is ve1rmj@rac.ca
Any questions contact Jim Langille VE1JBL at jimve1jbl@gmail.com
This is going to be a great event. We have over 150 registered at this time. Hope to see you there.

      Hi Bert,
We would like everyone to pay at the door. Paying up front could cause confusion and headaches especially if others wanted to and we don’t want to handle any money till the event.
