Basic Amateur Course in Fredericton

From Monday 28 January through Monday 22 April 2019, the Fredericton Amateur Radio Club (FARC) will run a course to help you earn your Amateur Radio licence. Classes will run most Monday and Thursday evenings from 7pm to 9.30pm. The language of instruction will be English. The cost for the course is $165 per student. This includes: – the course textbook, Coax Publications’ Canadian Amateur Radio Basic Qualification Study Guide, 9th edition; – materials and instruction to build your own antennas to help you get on the air quickly; and – the examination for the Basic Certificate of Proficiency in Amateur Radio, the essential requirement to hold a call sign and get on the air. With your certificate, you will receive a one-year free membership in the Radio Amateurs of Canada (RAC). Students who already have the textbook will be able to join the course at reduced cost. Your instructors are a team of experienced, knowledgeable Radio Amateurs who are very keen to help you get a good start in the fascinating, diverse world of Amateur Radio.
